I enjoyed your post and agree with what you have said. When the majority determines something to be good or bad there is pressure for all people to conform. That is specifically true for smoking. People used to try and get people to smoke cigarettes, and now people think that if you smoke you must not be a good person. I can fully relate to you on that topic.
Also the new found fad of trying to save our environment, which is the only one we have is finally taken a front page importance. There is something to say about being able to find a "good" popular culture artifact. What I was able to find, and felt related to popular culture was rather negative so I appreciate your ability to find the positive.
